Orange–Cinnamon Velvet Cold Brew Latte


Make the Batsam LEGGERO cold brew concentrate

Ingredients

  • Coffee (BATSAM™ LEGGERO): 200 g

  • Water: 1000 g (cold)

Grind

  • Coarse (French press / cold brew bag coarse)

Steep

  • 14–16 hours (fridge gives a cleaner cup; room temp can be slightly heavier)

Method

  1. Add coffee to a clean jar/container.

  2. Pour in water, stir 10–15 seconds to fully wet the grounds.

  3. Cover and steep 14–16 hours.

  4. Strain through a fine sieve, then paper filter (optional, but makes it silky).

  5. Bottle and refrigerate.

Shelf life: best within 3–5 days refrigerated.

Orange–Cinnamon Syrup (small batch)

Ingredients

  • Sugar: 100 g

  • Water: 100 g

  • Orange peel: 2 wide strips (use a peeler; avoid the white pith)

  • Cinnamon: 1 stick (or ½ tsp ground cinnamon)

Method

  1. Combine sugar + water in a small pot.

  2. Warm to a gentle simmer, stirring until fully dissolved.

  3. Add orange peel + cinnamon.

  4. Simmer 2–3 minutes, then turn off heat.

  5. Cover and steep 10 minutes off-heat.

  6. Strain, cool, and bottle.

Store: fridge, 2 weeks.

Pro tip: If the orange is too strong, steep only 5 minutes. If you want it louder, steep 20–30 minutes (no simmering needed beyond the initial 2–3 min).


Build the drink (1 serving)

Ingredients 

  • Orange–cinnamon syrup: 8–12 g

  • Cold milk: 120 ml

  • LEGGERO cold brew concentrate: 60 g

  • Ice: 120–180 ml (fill the glass)

Method (for clean layers + best aroma)

  1. Add 8–12 g syrup to the glass.

  2. Pour in 120 g cold milk and stir well to dissolve.

  3. Fill the glass with ice.

  4. Slowly pour 60 ml cold brew concentrate over the ice.

  5. Optional garnish: express a small orange peel over the top and drop it in.

Dial it in (fast)

  • Sweeter / more cozy: syrup 12–15 g

  • Less sweet / more coffee-forward: syrup 6–8 g

  • Stronger coffee hit: cold brew 70 g (keep milk 120 g)

  • More “latte”: milk 150 ml (keep cold brew 60 ml)
